About INNOSPACE

INNOSPACE is a Sejong, South Korea-based launch company specializing in hybrid rocket propulsion technology. Founded in 2017, the company develops the HANBIT family of small satellite launch vehicles powered by its in-house hybrid engines that combine paraffin fuel with liquid oxygen (LOX) or nitrous oxide oxidizer, with upper stages using a regeneratively cooled methane engine (LiMER).

The company's launch vehicle lineup spans three sizes: HANBIT-Nano (90 kg to 500 km SSO), HANBIT-Micro (170 kg with kick stage), and HANBIT-Mini (1,300 kg, 3-stage). INNOSPACE validated its core propulsion technology with the HANBIT-TLV test launch vehicle, successfully launched from Brazil's Alcantara Space Center in March 2023 — making it the first Korean private company to reach space with an orbital-class hybrid rocket.

In addition to its launch vehicles, INNOSPACE offers engineering services including propulsion performance testing (ground combustion test services), and has developed the BLACK BIRD sounding rocket series for customer microgravity and atmospheric research missions. The company is also developing a new methane-fueled upper stage engine (LiMER) and a multipurpose suborbital rocket (SEBIT) for dedicated suborbital missions.

INNOSPACE is backed by Korean government and private investors, and its methane engine technology has been designated a national Space New Technology by the Korea AeroSpace Administration (KASA).
