About Lunasa Space

Lúnasa is an award-winning startup pioneering next-generation space technology for autonomous Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO). Founded in 2021 by Amin Chabi, the London-based company develops mission-enabling tools and services that advance in-space infrastructure, including vision-based navigation systems, onboard computing platforms, and ground-based validation facilities for satellite servicing missions.

The company's technology supports applications such as satellite refuelling, space robotics, cargo transport to space stations, and deep-space exploration. Beyond RPO hardware, Lúnasa works on relative GNSS-based navigation, edge computing, digital twinning, and spacecraft security and resiliency, aiming to make satellite operations safer, smarter, and more scalable.

Lúnasa has been backed by the UK Space Agency and the European Space Agency, including a £1m grant to advance and test its autonomous RPO system and a €611k ESA contract to build a high-precision relative GNSS solution for in-space services and distributed space systems. It has also signed a critical agreement with Space Machines Company for an in-orbit servicing mission.

In March 2026, Lúnasa was acquired by Infinite Orbits, a European provider of GEO in-orbit services headquartered in Toulouse, France. The acquisition established Infinite Orbits' operational and engineering footprint in the United Kingdom, integrating Lúnasa's rendezvous, proximity operations, and docking expertise, along with its payload AIT facility and testing infrastructure, into Infinite Orbits' life-extension servicer program, Endurance.
