About Orbit Logic

Orbit Logic, founded in 2000 and headquartered in Greenbelt, Maryland, is a mission planning and scheduling software company serving the space, defense, and intelligence communities. For more than two decades the company has developed operationally proven commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products that generate optimized, deconflicted plans for imaging satellites, satellite constellations, unmanned aerial vehicles, and space situational awareness sensor networks.

The company's core product line includes the Collection Planning and Analysis Workstation (CPAW) for synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) and electro-optical (EO) satellite imagery collection planning, STK Scheduler (developed in partnership with AGI, an Ansys company) for general-purpose aerospace resource scheduling, the Order Logic web application for satellite imagery order management, the SpyMeSat mobile app for consumer and government access to satellite imagery, UAV Planner for unmanned aerial vehicle route and sensor tasking, and the Autonomous Planning System (APS), onboard flight software for automated, event-driven planning without requiring contact with ground control. Orbit Logic has also developed mission-specific solutions such as Heimdall, a sensor tasking system for space situational awareness, and MinAu, a multi-vehicle planning and response system for maritime operations developed with the University of Colorado's Research and Engineering Center for Unmanned Vehicles (RECUV).

Orbit Logic's software has been licensed to roughly 250 customers, including nearly every NASA field center as well as other U.S. government agencies, allied governments, and commercial satellite operators. In February 2023, Orbit Logic was acquired by Boecore, and on January 1, 2024, it became part of Auria, a space, missile defense, and cyber operations company formed from the merger of Boecore, Orbit Logic, Ascension Engineering Group, and La Jolla Logic, headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Across its mobile, web, desktop, and onboard scheduling applications, Orbit Logic provides configurable systems, constraints, and goals; high-performance scheduling algorithms; deconflicted mission plans; map visualization and animation; and flexible, automatable process flows for mission planners, engineers, and operators.
