Collection Planning and Analysis Workstation (CPAW)
High-fidelity spacecraft modeling and multi-algorithm scheduling software that generates optimized, ready-to-command imagery collection plans for SAR and EO satellites.
Description
The Collection Planning and Analysis Workstation (CPAW) couples high-fidelity spacecraft modeling with multiple advanced scheduling algorithms and a user-friendly interface to generate optimized collection plans for one or more synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) or electro-optical (EO) satellites. CPAW's collection planning is driven by a set of models that simulate and predict the physical environment, spacecraft subsystems, and target constraints, and its modeling approach has been validated operationally for multiple spacecraft from multiple manufacturers.
Unlike simple field-of-regard access determination, CPAW provides operational-fidelity scheduling and generates plans ready for command generation, which benefits both satellite operators and imagery customers seeking maximum value from their imagery budget. CPAW supports both automated and manual planning: multiple collection-planning algorithms compete to produce high-fidelity, constraint-free plans, while GUI and map displays (including integration with AGI's Systems Tool Kit and Google Earth Pro) let operators review, adjust, or manually build plans that CPAW validates in real time. CPAW can run in a real-time, lights-out automated mode performing just-in-time planning for every satellite in a constellation, and a single CPAW workstation can complete collection planning for multiple satellites simultaneously.
