About T4i - Technology for Propulsion and Innovation

T4i (Technology for Propulsion and Innovation SpA) is a spin-off of the University of Padua, founded to bring propulsion research into flight hardware for small satellites, in-orbit servicing platforms, microlaunchers, small upper stages, and sounding rockets.

The company offers three propulsion product families: the IANUS & PERSEUS cold gas systems (R134a propellant) for fine attitude control and proximity operations; the ALPHARD family of hydrogen-peroxide monopropellant thrusters spanning 5 N to 230 N thrust classes; and the REGULUS family of iodine-fed electric (Hall-effect / plasma) propulsion systems for orbit-raising, drag compensation, station-keeping, and deorbiting.

Since 2021, T4i has been headquartered in Monselice (Padua, Italy) in a 1,600 m² indoor / 1,600 m² outdoor facility with vacuum chambers for plasma and cold gas thrusters, an ISO7 clean room with ISO5 laminar flow bench, a chemical propulsion workshop for hybrid, monopropellant, and bipropellant systems, and outdoor test benches for thrusters up to 10 kN.
