About
IANUS and PERSEUS are T4i’s cold gas propulsion systems, providing up to 6 degrees of freedom using R134a (Freon) propellant, designed for extremely fine maneuvering, high leak-tightness, and flight-proven reliability. They target collision avoidance, inspection, proximity operations, and attitude control for small satellites.
PERSEUS is a single 2.5 U, 2.5 kg module delivering 6 D.o.F. with a total impulse of 450 Ns and TRL 9 flight heritage. IANUS is a modular 0.5 U, 0.5 kg-per-module system (3 D.o.F. per module, 6 D.o.F. with two modules) at TRL 8, with 38 Ns total impulse per module.
