About

REGULUS is T4i’s electric propulsion family, using iodine propellant fed into a plasma/Hall-effect-type thruster to provide robust, versatile, and cost-effective in-space mobility for small satellite platforms and nanosatellite deployers. REGULUS systems enable orbit-raising and phasing, continuous drag compensation in VLEO, station-keeping, and end-of-life deorbiting.

The family spans the REGULUS-50-I2 (Small, Medium, Large configurations at 30-60 W input power) and the higher-power REGULUS-150-I2 (50-150 W input power), covering total impulse from 3,000 Ns to 11,000 Ns and specific impulse up to 800 s.
