In-orbit servicing / space debris removal
SpacePNT's NAVILEO spaceborne receiver technology enables real-time autonomous orbit determination for collision avoidance, in-orbit servicing, and space debris removal.
Description
Today, the collision avoidance process between two operational satellites is largely manual and ad-hoc, and will no longer be practical as the number of alerts rises with the increase in the density of orbiting assets in Low Earth Orbit. Moreover, with more and more satellites being launched every year, the risks of collisions between satellites and space debris is rapidly increasing. Fortunately, SpacePNT’s NAVILEO spaceborne receiver technology can deliver real-time autonomous orbit determination, with very high precision <10 cm (3D rms), thereby enabling innovative strategies for collisions avoidance, in-orbit servicing and space debris removal. This technology supports applications such as in-orbit servicing, satellite launch and deployment missions, space debris removal missions, and autonomous risk detection and mitigation.
