About

The Compact Star Tracker is an attitude determination system specifically designed for small spacecraft, including nano- and micro-satellites. Its primary purpose is to provide precise orientation data by analyzing the star field. Released in 2017, this star tracker offers a guaranteed service life of 3 years in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) at altitudes ranging from 300 to 800 km. While not yet flight-qualified, flight qualification was scheduled for 2019-2020. The product is adaptable to customer requirements, allowing for customization to suit specific mission needs. It operates with triaxial orientation and boasts an orientation accuracy of 5 angular seconds. The device has a low power consumption of 0.5 W and operates on a 5 V supply voltage. Its compact dimensions and low mass make it suitable for size and power-constrained satellite platforms.
