About

The RadNano is a tiny radiation sensor device from 27G-Technology, designed for various applications, including those requiring high radiation tolerance. The sensor provides ready-to-use TID exposure data over UART or I2C protocols. It is very energy efficient and can operate with minimal connections. The design includes an internal LDO regulator for use with a +5 V supply, providing a +3.3 V (nominal) output capable of supplying 100 mA. The device’s space-grade packages comply with ECSS-Q-ST-70-02C and NASA low outgassing recommendations. An engineering package with schematic and footprint libraries for KiCad and Altium, including Step models, is available for developers. Hand soldering is recommended, with Sn60Pb40 or similar soldering wire for space applications.
