About
The 3U Deployable Solar Array provides advanced power solutions for CubeSats, featuring triple-junction photovoltaic solar cells with over 30% efficiency at Beginning-of-Life and 29+% at End-of-Life. It is designed for a 5-year mission lifetime and offers a maximum power output of 16.8 W (Single Deployable) or 25.2 W (Double Deployable) in Low Earth Orbit. The array includes a burn-wire release mechanism and internal bypass diodes for reverse bias protection. Configuration options include a 3U Deployable Solar Panel (84 mm x 335 mm x 7.68 mm, 285 – 315 g) and a 3U Double Deployable Solar Panel (87 mm x 335 mm x 8.5 mm, 438 – 468 g). It supports parallel array connections for custom power needs and includes photodiodes and an accessible RBF inhibition mechanism. Flexible installation is possible with adjustable X/Y hinge options at 90 or 135 degrees, requiring a single 5V power supply for operation. The 3U Solar Array integrates seamlessly with all EnduroSat systems and comes with a complete user manual, 1 hour of engineering support, and covers delivery, handling, and administration costs.
