By hosting up to 160 independent experiments on a single 3U CubeSat mission, AmbaSat significantly reduces the cost of access to Low Earth Orbit. The service handles integration, launch, regulation, and data delivery, allowing customers to focus on their sensor or experiment. It offers standardised payload slots on regular 3U CubeSat missions, facilitating the progression of technology from TRL 4 to TRL 9. The service includes full launch integration, UK CAA licensing, ITU frequency coordination, and secure data downlink via a dashboard API. AmbaSat’s standardised architecture and regulatory framework simplify space access, and open-source firmware templates reduce payload integration time. Customers can access experiment data instantly via a secure Dashboard API, with raw telemetry and sensor logs being time-stamped and downloadable. The service covers all necessary paperwork, including UK CAA orbital operator licensing, ITU frequency allocation filing, and third-party liability insurance. Flexible configurations are available, from single ChipSat slots for component testing to clustering multiple units on a Flight Tray for distributed sensing arrays. The missions validate sensors, components, and materials in a real Low Earth Orbit radiation and thermal environment. Designed for sustainability, all experiments remain contained within the 3U bus structure, ensuring compliance with modern space debris regulations. AmbaSat partners with Skyrora for a dedicated, domestic launch service, offering responsive ‘Launch-on-Demand’ for UK and European payloads, bypassing international shipping and foreign regulatory hurdles. The low-altitude orbit ensures high-resolution sensing and natural rapid de-orbiting for ‘Zero Debris’ compliance. A fully sovereign UK launch capability eliminates ITAR/EAR export control delays, enabling rapid iteration for R&D teams. The typical mission duration is approximately 30 days at a 300km altitude, ensuring rapid, passive de-orbiting. Payloads are integrated into the 3U bus at AmbaSat’s UK cleanroom facility. Data is downlinked via UHF to their ground station network and pushed to the AmbaSat Cloud, accessible via API or web-based Mission Dashboard.
