About
The Simulsat™ 5B Multibeam Earth Station is a unique antenna designed to simultaneously receive signals from up to 35 satellites across a 70° view arc, with consistent performance for each satellite. It supports a wide range of frequency bands including C-Band, Ku-Band, C/Ku-Band, Ka-Band, X-Band, S-Band, and Inclined Orbit feeds. This antenna is a market leader in multibeam technology since 1979 and offers significant advantages over traditional parabolic antennas, such as saving valuable real estate space by performing like 35 parabolics while being approximately the same size as 3 equivalent performance parabolic antennas. It is a fixed antenna with no moving parts, ensuring reliability and reducing maintenance needs. Its commercial quality composite construction contributes to its durability. A key feature is the ability to easily add or change satellite feeds without purchasing additional antennas, adapting to constant satellite programming changes. The Simulsat 5B is widely used by broadcasters, cable television providers, universities for distance learning, television and radio stations, military/government entities, and corporations. It is available in standard and high mount configurations and performs equivalently to 4.5 M C-Band Prime Focus Parabolic Antennas. ATCi also offers advanced feed designs for the Simulsat line, including the Simulsat 4-Port and 2-Port feeds. The 4-Port feed operates over the extended C-band (3.4 to 4.2 GHz) and commercial Ku-band (10.95 to 12.75 GHz) frequency ranges, including mounting rack and two C and Ku-Band PLL LNBs. The 2-Port feed operates over the extended C-band (3.4 to 4.2 GHz) and includes a mounting rack and two C-Band PLL LNBs. Both feed designs are narrow to allow for maximum flexibility in optimizing feeds for satellites spaced at 2° longitude without compromising performance and can accommodate bandpass filters for secure operation.
