ABLean is Azista BST Aerospace’s proprietary manufacturing platform for the mass production of small satellites in the 50-200kg class, built on the heritage of participation in 75+ satellite missions. The company is a vertically integrated satellite manufacturer providing end-to-end solutions for satellite constellations, backed by a team of 100 design and manufacturing engineers. ABLean supports automated testing and scalable manufacturing, offers capacity-building programs for emerging space nations, provides a ready platform for in-orbit demonstration (IOD) of customer payloads, and is designed to cater to entire mega constellations. The platform operates out of Asia’s first private satellite factory, located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, spanning 30,000 sq. ft. of clean rooms, an Assembly, Integration and Testing (AIT) lab, and additional testing facilities. The facility integrates design, development, manufacturing, testing and qualification capabilities under a single roof, with 80% of subsystems manufactured in-house to enable rapid production, assembly and testing. This approach reduces satellite build time by 250x and cost by 40x while increasing production rate by 250x, giving the facility an annual production capability of up to 50 satellites, extendable to 250 satellites per year.
