About
AquaBlinkR is a rugged, low-power ground sensor built by Blink Astro for long-term waterway monitoring. It records GPS position and water temperature, then compresses this data into condensed bursts transmitted during daily passes of Blink Astro’s PanelSat nanosatellite constellation using its battery-saving HyperSleep mode. The device is designed for deployment in remote or hard-to-reach aquatic environments such as lakes, rivers, and reservoirs, where cellular and WiFi connectivity are unavailable. Future product releases are planned to add further environmental measurements such as salinity and atmospheric pressure, extending its use in conservation, scientific research, and environmental monitoring applications.
