BlinkSat Radio (also referred to as Blink Radio) is the low-power receiver payload mounted on each of Blink Astro’s PanelSat nanosatellites. It is tuned to hear small, low-data-rate transmissions sent by ground-based BlinkR sensors such as AquaBlinkR and AgriBlinkR during satellite passes. BlinkSat Radio captures these brief data bursts and routes them through the Blink Astro network, forming the dependable uplink path that lets field-deployed IoT devices communicate from locations far beyond terrestrial cellular or WiFi coverage. It is a core enabling technology of Blink Astro’s ground-to-orbit IoT connectivity system.
