About

The ReX-50 is Catalyx Space’s 0.5m class orbital return vehicle, designed to recover payloads from low Earth orbit (LEO) with gentle G-forces suitable for sensitive experiments and equipment. Built around Catalyx’s origami-inspired deployable thermal protection system, the ReX-50 can decelerate from orbital velocity and deliver payloads to designated ocean recovery zones.

The 4U pressurized payload volume and ≤15 G maximum entry acceleration make it suitable for biological samples, materials science experiments, and technology demonstration payloads that require controlled reentry conditions. Iridium satellite communications provide downlink throughout reentry and recovery.
