About
COMAT’s latest generation of Reaction Wheels are designed for small satellites, offering a plug-and-play solution with radiation-proof electronics and a compact design. These reaction wheels boast a long operational lifespan and safeguarded electronics, making them ideal for various satellite missions. Initially targeting small satellites in the 10-150 kg range, the product line has expanded to include new families of Reaction Wheels specifically designed for heavier platforms, accommodating satellites from 150 kg to 1000 kg. Key features include robust environmental resistance to random vibration and shock, a wide operating temperature range, and flexible communication protocols. The wheels are designed for high reliability, demonstrated by extensive zero crossing tests and a projected 10-year operational life. They are compatible with multiple voltage inputs and utilize the NSP Communication Protocol, alongside standard RS 485 full duplex or CAN interfaces.
