Green Cells is Maana Electric’s environmentally advanced heterojunction (HTJ) solar cell technology. By using Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) instead of the standard Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) process, Green Cells significantly reduce the CO2 footprint of cell manufacturing and eliminate the use of hazardous chemicals from the production process entirely, while also conserving water through chemical-free processing stages. The PVD manufacturing approach cuts energy consumption during production by roughly 90% and reduces material expenses by about 40% relative to conventional CVD techniques, while maintaining efficiency ratings comparable to standard HTJ cells.
