hisaor AI chip
O.C.E. Technology's hisaor AI chip is designed for embedded vision applications, featuring multiple GPUs, neural network accelerators, and ARM Cortex-A9 processors for high-resolution video and hyperspectral data processing on satellites.
About
The hisaor AI chip, developed by O.C.E. Technology, is specifically engineered for embedded vision applications, particularly within the space industry. This advanced chip integrates eight GPUs and eight neural network accelerators, functioning as an AI co-processing unit. It also incorporates four ARM Cortex-A9 processors that serve as the primary processing unit for the main operating system. The hisaor chip is equipped with multiple on-chip camera interfaces, video encoding and decoding units, and various high-speed bus interfaces. This design enables new space applications to efficiently process high-resolution video and hyperspectral data directly on satellites, thereby minimizing the quantity of data that needs to be downloaded and providing faster responses to terrestrial data collected from onboard sensors. The development environment for hisaor is based on VeriSilicon’s Vivante Acuity™ software tools, which simplifies the process for embedded developers to port and execute AI models trained in the cloud onto the chip. While primarily targeting space applications, O.C.E. Technology is also actively exploring non-space applications for this technology, including autonomous vehicles, medical devices, and intelligent manufacturing.
