About
BlackFish is Horizon Technologies’ OEM airborne satellite-phone (Iridium, Thuraya, Inmarsat) monitoring system, in operation on approximately 100 systems worldwide across 23+ platform types including aircraft, helicopters, vehicles, and ships. Used 24/7 by NATO and allied governments, it has been credited with helping end piracy off Somalia and assisting in the rescue of over 200,000 migrants in the Mediterranean. The lighter BlackFishX variant (4.4 kg) is DO-160-qualified for UAVs, aerostats, and other SWaP-constrained platforms. BlackFish is fully compliant with the new Thuraya T4 satellite system.
