About
IHI Aerospace’s High Power Hall Thruster is a qualified xenon electric propulsion thruster developed for all-electric satellite platforms. At 6kW electrical power, it delivers over 359mN thrust at beginning of life (BOL) with up to 1783s specific impulse, degrading to over 330mN and 1712s at middle of life (MOL).
IHI Aerospace has designed, developed, and manufactured electric thrusters for spacecraft since 1983 and is currently developing high-power Hall thrusters for the next generation of all-electric satellites.
