About

IHI Aerospace’s Low Power Hall Thruster is a qualified xenon electric propulsion thruster operating at 4kW electrical power, delivering over 230mN thrust at beginning of life (BOL) with up to 1673s specific impulse, degrading to over 212mN and 1539s at end of life (EOL).

Developed as part of IHI Aerospace’s electric propulsion program since 1983, this thruster targets satellite platforms requiring efficient electric propulsion at reduced power budgets compared to the High Power Hall Thruster.
