About

The HyNOx-1 is a small-class green bipropellant thruster using nitrous oxide (N2O) and ethane (C2H6) as self-pressurizing propellants. Developed on the back of extensive DLR research with thousands of validated test firings, it is available now and qualified for customer projects. The thruster delivers 0.5-2 N of thrust with a specific impulse of up to 270 seconds, and can operate in both hot gas and cold gas modes. Its ultra-low mass of under 60 g (without flow control valves) and M3 mounting interface make it ideal for CubeSat and SmallSat missions.
