About
The Kreios satellite platform’s aerodynamics, materials, and structure are tailored to near-atmospheric orbital conditions at 200 km altitude (Very Low Earth Orbit). The roadmap includes Kreios-1 (development in 2025, targeted 2027 launch as the first-ever ABEP-based VLEO mission) and Kreios-2 (2026 development, reliability and subsystem improvements, targeted 2028 launch as the first multi-year VLEO commercial mission). Applications include sub-10cm optical imagery — up to 3x sharper than conventional LEO — and direct-to-device broadband communications, with the low orbit ensuring 100% debris-free end-of-life via natural atmospheric re-entry.
