Transponder Capacity Leasing
Flexible Ku-, Ka-, C-, and Extended Ku-band transponder capacity lease across the KOREASAT GEO fleet covering Asia, Middle East, and beyond.
About
KT SAT offers satellite transponder capacity lease services across its KOREASAT fleet, enabling customers to operate their own services using allocated bandwidth. The offering covers Ku, Ka, Extended Ku, and C-band across orbital positions at 116°E, 113°E, and 75°E, providing coverage from Korea and East Asia through Southeast Asia, South Asia, and into Africa and Europe.
Customers can configure 1:1 or 1:N network topologies and use transponder capacity as a resilient backup layer for terrestrial wired and wireless networks, making it suitable for mission-critical facilities requiring communications redundancy. KT SAT provides flexible bandwidth allocation and 24-hour technical help desk support, as well as earth station facility inspection services.
Five active satellites serve different regional and application requirements: KOREASAT 6A (116°E, Ku-band, optimized for Korean broadcasting), KOREASAT 7 (116°E, Ku and steerable Ka-band, Korea to Southeast Asia and India), KOREASAT 5A (113°E, Ku and Extended Ku steerable, Korea to maritime corridors), and KOREASAT 8 (75°E, C and Ku-band, East Asia to Africa).
Backed by the Kumsan Satellite Service Center — one of Asia’s largest teleport facilities with over 40 antennas and 50+ years of continuous operations — KT SAT delivers transponder leases with deep ground infrastructure and experienced satellite operations teams.
