Third-party teleport access via KT SAT's Kumsan Satellite Service Center — one of Asia's largest teleports with 50+ years of operation and 40+ antennas.
Description
KT SAT's Kumsan Satellite Service Center in South Chungcheong Province is one of Asia's largest and most established teleport facilities, with over 50 years of continuous satellite operations history. The facility offers third-party teleport access for enterprises and satellite operators that lack their own uplink infrastructure.
The teleport provides access to the KOREASAT fleet across orbital positions from 57°E to 180°E, making it one of the most geographically advantaged teleport sites in the Asia-Pacific region for serving the entire arc from the Middle East to the Pacific. Customers connect via KT's dedicated fiber network, public internet (Kornet), or global submarine cable gateways.
Kumsan's facility infrastructure includes over 40 large antennas, optimized equipment rooms, stable uninterruptible power systems, controlled visitor access, and 24-hour CCTV surveillance. Round-the-clock operations are staffed by experienced satellite and ground network engineers.
The facility is the hub for KT SAT's broadcast, DTH, and transponder leasing services, and serves as the anchor ground station for the KOREASAT fleet. Its combination of scale, operational heritage, and geographic positioning makes it a premium teleport choice for broadcasters, data service providers, and government customers across Asia.
