About
LIDAX designs and manufactures high-performance optical systems for space missions and scientific instrumentation. The product portfolio spans telescopes and optical objectives optimized for multiple wavelength bands (IR, VIS, UV, X-ray), space-grade laser collimators for FSO (Free Space Optics) communications with full STOP analysis, and custom focal plane assemblies (FPAs) for Earth observation, deep space exploration, and scientific research. LIDAX optical systems have flight heritage on ESA missions including PLATO (26 focal planes for exoplanet observation), Meteosat Third Generation (IRS and FCI opto-thermo-mechanical systems), ExoMars Rover (Raman laser optical head), Bepi Colombo (MIXS focal plane), and EarthCARE (co-alignment sensor). All systems are designed to withstand launch loads and the thermal extremes of the space environment in compliance with ECSS standards.
