ALCAN’s revolutionary Liquid Crystal Phased Array Technology utilizes a liquid crystal layer within an ultra-thin phased-array antenna to achieve beam steering. This innovative approach allows the direction of the received or transmitted beam to be changed by an electromagnetic field, eliminating the need for physical movement and thus having no moving parts. The technology leverages existing LC-Display production capacity, similar to LCD TVs, which enables assembly line production and results in extremely affordable prices. This also provides the ability to rapidly increase production rates to meet growing demand. The antennas are designed for simple installation and low maintenance, making them a practical solution for various applications including 5G satellite technology.
