LLD for MWI MODELS (FM1, FM2, FM3)

OHB Italia S.p.A. developed several Launch Locking Devices (LLD) for MetOp-SG, MWI Inst., and ICI Inst. These systems are crucial for securing instruments during launch. Additionally, the company developed the Separation Subsystem for LARES I, a spherical passive satellite launched in 2012 on the VEGA maiden flight, and LARES II, launched in 2022 on the VEGA-C maiden flight. Both the LLDs and the separation subsystems were developed for the Italian Space Agency. The activity was carried out under an ASI contract and a programme of and funded by the European Space Agency.
