Spacefarer

Spacefarer is Mission Control’s customizable, web-based mission operations platform that allows distributed teams to remotely operate robots, payloads and other assets from early prototyping through live mission operations. It provides three core capabilities: Live, for interactive real-time control and visualization of robots and payloads; Command, for creating, sharing, executing and monitoring command sequences; and Data Explorer, a timeline viewer and data visualization/labeling tool for working with returned mission data. Spacefarer is built for reliability and flexibility on robust cloud infrastructure so operators can run missions from anywhere in the world. It has supported thousands of hours of Earth-based analogue mission testing, planetary science research with agencies such as NASA and ESA, rover operations, and is being used to support upcoming lunar missions. Mission Control also offers custom user interfaces, tailored integrations, mission concept development, analogue test support, and access to its Moonyard lunar-analogue test facility in Ottawa.
