NEXTAR NX-G Geostationary Satellite Bus

The NEXTAR NX-G is NEC Space Technologies’ standardized satellite bus designed for geostationary orbit (GEO) applications. Based on experience from the WINDS (Wideband InterNetworking engineering test and Demonstration Satellite) program, the NX-G accommodates small to medium communication satellites in the 1.5–3 tonne range at GEO. It employs the same core NEXTAR architecture used across the NX platform family, including SpaceWire data bus and advanced autonomous control functions, adapted for the demanding thermal and operational environment of geostationary orbit. The NX-G is primarily targeted at communications satellite applications.
