About
The SM series is NPC Spacemind’s modular CubeSat structure platform, available in eight standard sizes from 1U up to 16U. Every size shares the same design language: a rigid aluminum frame with helicoil inserts for structural integrity, configurable internal board stacks that are mechanically independent from the outer structure, and support for both horizontal and vertical stack assembly on the larger configurations (8U and up). The structures are compatible with SPM solar panels as well as third-party PC104/PC104-PLUS boards, and each size ships with a standard assembly screw set and a stack assembly kit sized to the platform. Up to 8 deployment switches (kill switches / rail switches) can be fitted depending on size, and optional 1U/2U/4U intermediate rings allow further customization of the internal layout. The SM family is used as the primary bus structure across NPC Spacemind’s nanosatellite platforms.
