About
The SMPOD16-C is a CubeSat deployer designed to securely house and release satellite payloads during launch. Payloads are firmly secured inside the deployer to prevent rattling during launch, and the system uses a redundant fail-safe NEA (Non-Explosive Actuator) actuation system for safe deployment. A redundant feedback system provides telemetry signals confirming successful deployment. The deployer is designed for smooth integration and quick resetting, enabling fast and easy handling during pre-launch operations. It offers some of the widest clearances on the market, and is built from aluminum and carbon fiber to optimize weight while maintaining structural robustness. The SMPOD16-C is compliant with most launch vehicles on the market. It is highly configurable, capable of hosting up to 4 CubeSats in a single deployer using both standard and XL dimensions. Each CubeSat is securely clamped using up to 3 rails for robust retention during launch loads. The already-integrated payload remains accessible up to the launch site, and each payload is integrated with a dedicated sledge to support secure handling and integration support throughout pre-launch processing.
