About
The SP3X is a solar panel specifically engineered for CubeSat applications, compatible with both 3U and 6U CubeSat structures. It utilizes high-efficiency triple junction UTJ solar cells to maximize power generation. The panel includes two parallel picoblade power connectors for integration into the CubeSat’s power system. For monitoring and attitude determination, it is equipped with a digital temperature sensor, an NTC thermistor, two coarse sun sensors, an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), and a magnetic sensor. It also features a Remove Before Flight (RBF) pin for safety during ground operations. The SP3X provides a peak power output ranging from 8 to 8.8 W, with a maximum current of 500-520 mA and a maximum power voltage of 16-17.5 V. Its open circuit voltage is between 18.2-19.3 V.
