P4SD
P4SD is a platform that introduces an agile flow to space development, eliminating individual dependency and easily leveraging know-how to drastically shorten development periods.
About
P4SD is a platform designed to revolutionize space development by integrating an agile workflow, thereby reducing reliance on individual expertise and streamlining the utilization of accumulated knowledge. This approach significantly shortens development cycles. The platform centralizes all research, design, test results, and simulation outcomes in the cloud, enabling comprehensive management of analysis, improvements, and all other development-related activities. It aims to bring unprecedented efficiency to rocket development, condensing a three-year development timeline into one year by accumulating development essences and systematized information. By transforming development tools into web-based applications and cloudifying all information, P4SD liberates development from constraints of location and time. Furthermore, it utilizes digital twins for virtual testing, building a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HILs) environment to refine simulators and injecting that knowledge into Software-in-the-Loop (SILs) virtual tests. This enhances design accuracy even in early phases without physical hardware. P4SD accelerates space engineering by consolidating flight simulators, measurement devices, and strength/aerodynamic calculations required for rocket development onto a single platform, allowing services to link for seamless data transfer and one-stop analysis. It also applies DevOps principles, commonly used in IT, to rocket development to boost efficiency. For engine development, a critical aspect of rocket creation, P4SD constructs an engine cycle simulator, integrates Additive Manufacturing (AM), and establishes an automated measurement environment to accelerate the PDCA cycle, rapidly acquiring and storing engine development technologies in a database. The platform also facilitates efficient and rapid development through collaboration with partner companies, exemplified by joint efforts in flight analysis and aircraft sizing, leading to quick iteration and early determination of engine specifications.
