The WORK Microwave Redundant Block Downconverter (VSBD-Red) offers a compact solution for various satellite communication needs, covering S, C, X, Ku, and K(DBS)-Bands with an L-Band output. This integrated unit combines a 1:1 Redundancy switch and two blockconverters within a single 19″ housing, ensuring high reliability and continuous operation. Key features include hot-pluggable slide-in converters for easy maintenance and redundant power supplies for enhanced system resilience. The VSBD-Red also boasts very low phase noise (< -50 dBc/Hz @ 10 Hz) and a highly stable OCXO (Long-term stability < 10 -7 / year), along with digital gain compensation, making it suitable for demanding teleport infrastructure applications.
