About

Orbot™-3, also designated Waypoint™-1, is the first full-scale Orbot™ spacecraft, representing the culmination of the Orbital Test Platform (OTP) program. Scheduled for launch in Q2 2029 aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9, this platform integrates all proven OTP technologies into a single, commercially operational system. The spacecraft is equipped with a multi-degree-of-freedom grappling arm for physical interaction with client satellites, a standardized refueling port designed to facilitate future propellant transfer operations, and a pluggable payload containerization system that allows mission-specific tools and instruments to be easily swapped between flights. Orbot™-3 marks the transition from technology demonstration to commercial operations, building on five years of flight heritage from Barry-1 through Orbot-2. The platform is designed for payload hosting, inspection, space domain awareness, and orbital delivery, with a clear roadmap towards advanced capabilities such as servicing, life extension, refueling, and end-of-life disposal as these technologies mature. It offers opportunities for customers to fly their hardware or software payloads.
