About

The Orbot™ Platform is Rogue Space Systems’ autonomous orbital robot, a modular spacecraft platform engineered for close-proximity operations in demanding orbital environments. It is scalable from CubeSat-class to ESPA-class form factors, adapting to various mission profiles. Each Orbot™ integrates AI-enabled onboard processing, multi-spectral imaging (visible, IR, LIDAR), autonomous proximity operations capability, and extensible payload bays. This allows the spacecraft to inspect, host payloads, transport, and deliver compute autonomously. The platform is built on proven heritage from the Orbital Test Platforms (OTP) program, including Barry-1 (3U CubeSat, SSO, 2023) and future missions like OTP-2, OTP-2B, OTP-3, Orbot-1, and Orbot-2 (ESPA-class RPO/D demonstrators). The Orbot™ Gen-2 is an ESPA-class version with full 6DOF maneuvering, multi-spectral sensing, a robotic grappling arm, a refueling port, and pluggable payload containerization, designed for docking, inspection, payload hosting, logistics, and space domain awareness, with a roadmap toward ISAM and life extension. Key technologies include AI-driven guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) for autonomous rendezvous, proximity operations, and docking; multi-spectral imaging for satellite health diagnostics and space object characterization; a modular architecture with extensible payload bays and standardized interfaces; and a Scalable Compute Platform (SCP) delivering up to 248 TOPS for edge computing, real-time inference, sensor fusion, and autonomous decision-making. Future capabilities include servicing and life extension, refueling and logistics depots, docking and ISAM enabling architecture, and debris management and remediation.
