Source Energy’s Small Solar Arrays are designed to meet the power needs of today’s rideshare small satellite market, available in bodymount and rigid deployable configurations. Built using space-stable materials, the arrays are hardened for UV, radiation, and atomic oxygen, and achieve high deployed stiffness for pointing-sensitive applications.
Key features include fault tolerance to localised micrometeorite strikes and shading, bifacial cell arrangements that generate power from both sides, and multiple configuration options covering size, panel count, and substrate material choices. The arrays are tested beyond GEVS (General Environmental Verification Standards) to account for spacecraft dynamic environments during launch, ensuring margin against the actual conditions encountered.
Availability and lead time are dramatically reduced compared to heritage space solar suppliers.
