About
Source Energy’s Solar Modules are flight-proven space-qualified photovoltaic cells and subassemblies designed for extreme reliability in the space environment. With specific powers up to 303 W/kg, full electrical redundancy, and tolerance to micrometeorites and localised shading, they are built entirely from space-stable materials hardened for UV, radiation, and atomic oxygen.
The modules integrate via three configurations: direct honeycomb bond for minimal mass, Easy Bond Solutions for simplified integration, and bolt-on frame options for mechanical attachment. Having flown on SpaceX Transporter-8 and Transporter-9 rideshare missions, these modules are already on-orbit proven and manifested on additional future rideshare missions.
Source delivers qualified primary power solutions at 10x lower cost than legacy suppliers and immediately available in high volume — eliminating the long lead times and bespoke procurement that historically bottlenecked satellite development. The modules are designed and manufactured by veterans of SpaceX Starlink, Crew Dragon solar arrays, and Redwire (Roccor) satellite solar business.
