About
FuJin/RaiJin is SPACE WALKER’s suborbital winged reusable spaceplane, planned for launch in March 2028 from Taiki, Hokkaido. In its FuJin science-mission configuration it reaches an altitude of 150 km; in its RaiJin satellite-launch configuration it delivers approximately 310 kg to a 600 km LEO or 310 kg to a 600 km sun-synchronous orbit (SSO). The vehicle measures 17.7 m in total length, 12.3 m in total width (wingspan), with a 15.8 m fuselage length, 2.95 m fuselage width, 41.9 m² main wing reference area, and a 4.24 m mean aerodynamic chord. It is propelled by liquefied biomethane (LBM) and liquid oxygen (LOX), with an initial launch mass of 43,397 kg. The RaiJin configuration adds a first upper stage (1,558 kg dry / 11,266 kg total) and a second upper stage including fairing and payload (888 kg dry / 3,189 kg total), for a combined initial launch mass of 57,852 kg.
