SUNSAT
SUNSAT (Stellenbosch University Satellite) was South Africa’s first satellite, developed by the Electronic Systems Laboratory (ESL) at Stellenbosch University. Launched in February 1999, SUNSAT demonstrated Earth observation, amateur radio communications, and store-and-forward messaging.
