About
ThinKom Solutions is developing VICTS-based antenna technology for space payload applications, leveraging the same patented aperture architecture used in aviation and ground products. Space payload applications for VICTS include satellite inter-satellite links (ISL), high-data-rate ground downlinks from LEO remote sensing satellites, and directional steerable antennas for small satellite payloads.
The VICTS architecture’s absence of active T/R modules reduces mass, volume, power consumption, and failure modes compared to traditional active phased arrays — all critical advantages for space applications. ThinKom engages with satellite manufacturers and system integrators to explore VICTS technology licensing and co-development for next-generation satellite payload antenna requirements.
