About

ESTEAM is the tool for solving electromagnetic scattering and radiation problems of general nature involving conducting and dielectric materials. Detailed models of, for example, microstrip and helix antennas can be analysed and optimised, and ESTEAM particularly excels for modelling electrically large antennas and platforms. Real-world antennas exist near other antennas and are often mounted on structures or platforms — ESTEAM is well suited to analysing this platform scattering and antenna placement, including mounting arms or an entire spacecraft with reflectors, solar panels, and thrusters. It implements a discontinuous Galerkin method allowing combination of objects meshed with different parameters, plus decades of in-house R&D in higher-order MoM techniques combined with an accelerated MLFMM method for maximum accuracy with minimum memory consumption and high speed.
