About
The TICRA Tools Student Edition provides a free, reduced-functionality version of the professional GRASP and QUPES software products. It is intended for educational and self-study purposes, allowing users to become familiar with the software’s basic functionalities and analyze various realistic antennas. Key capabilities include defining single- and dual-reflector systems with paraboloidal, hyperboloidal, ellipsoidal, and flat surface shapes, and reflector rims as circles, ellipses, or rectangles. Users can perform PO and/or GO-UGTD analysis of single and dual reflectors. The software also supports defining reflectarray antennas using rectangular patch elements, performing Periodic MoM analysis of reflectarrays, and optimizing the reflectarray element layout to achieve a pencil beam in a user-defined direction. Additionally, it allows for the definition of frequency-selective surfaces based on single or multiple element layers of rectangular patches or loops. Reflectors and reflectarrays can be illuminated with various analytically given feed patterns, including Gaussian beams. The software also features display capabilities for pattern cuts and two-dimensional grids. This edition is strictly for non-commercial use, including teaching, courses, student projects, and self-study, and cannot be used for commercial applications or as part of services/software delivered to third parties.
