TILT

TILT is an integration stand specifically engineered for CubeSats, accommodating sizes from 6U to 16U. It features two-axis controlled rotation, allowing effortless access to every face of the CubeSat during Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) procedures. The smooth, balanced motion enables repositioning of the satellite without stressing structures, harnesses, or connectors, promoting comfortable work in tight areas, clean cable routing, and optimal visibility. Users can position and securely lock both axes for a stable, hands-free workspace, with a secure locking concept that minimizes vibration and drift for critical tasks like connector mating, fastener torqueing, inspections, and sensor alignment. The stand is designed to reduce handling risk by minimizing manual lifts and protecting delicate assemblies. It offers MAIT-ready access with full side access for fit checks, panel work, and connector inspections. Harness routing efficiency is improved through its open geometry, which supports tidy cable runs and strain-relief checks. TILT is also cleanroom-friendly, utilizing materials and finishes suited to standard cleanroom procedures. For organization, it includes four dedicated pads to keep hand tools, fasteners, and small parts visible and within easy reach, reducing search time and the risk of Foreign Object Debris (FOD). Furthermore, TILT incorporates ESD safety features, functioning as an ESD-safe fixture with dissipative surfaces and a dedicated grounding connection point to tie into facility ground, thereby controlling charge buildup and safeguarding sensitive flight hardware.
