About
The NST5S-A1 is an upgraded version of the NST4S-A2, offering autonomous and high-precision attitude determination in a compact form factor. It is designed for space applications, providing accurate pointing and rolling information for satellites. Key features include a Sun Exclusive Angle of 35° and an Earth Exclusive Angle of 25°, allowing for robust operation in various orbital conditions. The device has a Field of View of 17°×17° (effective) and achieves an Attitude Accuracy of less than 2″ (3σ) for pointing and less than 15″ (3σ) for rolling. It operates with an update rate of 10 Hz and can handle dynamic performance up to 3°/s. The star tracker has a sensitivity of 5.8Mv (Go.Ref star) and communicates via RS422/CAN data interfaces. It is built to withstand harsh space environments, with a working temperature range of -40°C to 40°C and radiation resistance up to 50 Krad [Si]. The unit has a projected lifetime of 7 years, consumes 1.5W of power, and operates on a 5V input voltage.
