About
The Sodern HORUS is a high-performance, single-box star tracker integrating optical head, hardware, and software in one unit. Designed for non-centralized satellite architectures requiring independent attitude determination per star tracker unit. Mass is less than 1.6 kg. Precision is 3 arcsec XY with 3/22 arcsec temporal noise. CMOS detector with thermoelectric cooler for sensitivity in demanding thermal environments. Resistant to severe mechanical loads, extreme temperatures, radiation, and stray light. Configurable power supply at 24-50V or 70-105V with MIL-STD-1553 baseline interface (RS422 UART optional). Tracking at up to 8 deg/s, sun exclusion 24 degrees. Qualified in 2025 (TRL 9).
