The VACCO Green mono-propellant Micro Propulsion System (MiPS) offers a highly reliable, self-contained solution for CubeSat attitude control and main propulsion. This system occupies approximately 3U in volume and is equipped with four 100 mN thrusters. It delivers a total impulse of 3,320 N-sec, enabling a delta-V of 237 m/s for a 14 kg CubeSat. Each thruster operates independently, allowing for both delta-V maneuvers and Attitude Control System (ACS) operations, all managed by an integrated microprocessor controller. The system features an integral titanium fluid control manifold and low-friction, space-grade valves. Its all-welded tank construction can contain 2 kg of propellant. An integrated microcontroller and RS-422 interface facilitate high-level commands from the host spacecraft. The system boasts low power consumption, requiring less than 1 Watt for health and status monitoring. It is easily configurable for various mono-propellants, including ADN green (LMP-103S/LT) and Air Force green (AF-M315E). Flight systems are currently in production.
