About

For over 40 years, VACCO check valves and relief valves have provided essential protection to system performance for numerous commercial and scientific satellites. Check valves are available in single, parallel, and series redundant configurations to support varying levels of fluid control redundancy. Relief valves are single-seat, non-propulsive designs that have also been integrated with regulators, supporting human spaceflight applications. VACCO check valves are standard on many leading communication satellite platforms and also support resupply of the International Space Station (ISS) and other science satellites, providing critical fluid control on vehicles such as the OSC Cygnus spacecraft, an unmanned resupply spacecraft developed under NASA’s Commercial Orbital Transportation Services (COTS) project to transport supplies to the ISS. In addition to standard bi-propellant systems, the VACCO check valve is also an essential component in many dual-mode propulsion systems.
